Nadal: "My key is to stay positive and hope that the opponent fails»

The Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal said his key to not fade in a game is to believe in yourself, "stay positive, put the racket in and wait for the opponent to fail".

In an interview with the supplement "Style" the Italian newspaper "Il Corriere della Sera" published today, the fifth world tennis racket said his mindset is based on thinking that things will go well.

"What things do not go well today? Iran better tomorrow. If not go well tomorrow, go well to the next, or next month. Important thing is to always have confidence. This is the winning attitude: stay focused and just have the ambition "he said.

For the Spaniard, the merit of his mental strength and his "high concentration" owes it to his uncle and coach Toni, who since childhood he "got always under pressure," which, in his opinion, has helped him to be in the top of world tennis.

"Since childhood I have always had good control of myself, and trained with great intensity. Individuals who have surrounded me helped me a lot," he said.

Despite having achieved the record for Roland Garros after collecting eight wins, the last this year compared to his compatriot David Ferrer, Nadal said he never felt "invincible" on clay and added that despite having won all their 27 years is "love" tennis.

"I love tennis, I like to be always on tour, now that my childhood dream has become really hope to go ahead as long as possible. Love the competition, in general," said the Manacor.

On his return to action after suffering an injury that kept him away from competition for nearly eight months, lefty admitted that at first played "very well" but that things "have improved week after week" and "everything has gone faster than expected. "

"The best game won has been the disputed against my physique," said Nadal, who complained again that you always ask for their physical state press conferences.

During the interview, the player also talked about some aspects of his personal life and said that although love the privacy, it does go somewhere with your girlfriend because you go for photos.

"The paparazzi've had to pay attention, but just there," said the Spaniard, who now has the challenge of winning Wimbledon for the third time.

Asked by a journalist whether always been just as competitive on the track as with women, Nadal replied with a laugh that no.

"I feel I've always been lucky or I did not like the girl he liked them all," said the Spaniard to the question of whether at school competed for the favorite girl of all.
