The Wimbledon seedings list has been revealed and there's going to be a little debate about how this has panned out.

The seedings list has been revealed for Wimbledon and this year's decisions are certainly interesting. The women's draw has been kept completely in line with rankings, and there have been a few minor changes in the men's draw with Mikhail Youzhny moving eight places above his ranking to be seeded No. 20. However, there has been no top four seeding for Rafael Nadal!

Nadal leads the RACE rankings by almost 2000 points and he's a former Wimbledon champ. However, David Ferrer, who has never been beyond the quarters at the All-England Club, will take the fourth spot. This could really make the draw interesting.

An explanation for Nadal's seeding is provided on the official Wimbledon website, which states:

The seeds are the top 32 players on the ATP Entry System Position (ESP), BUT then rearranged on a surface-based system. Since 2002 a seeding committee has not been required for the Gentlemen’s Singles following an agreement made with the ATP. The seeding order is determined using an objective and transparent system to reflect more accurately an individual player’s grass court achievements:

The formula is: · Take ESP points at 17 June 2013 · Add 100% points earned for all grass court tournaments in the past 12 months · Add 75% points earned for the best grass court tournament in the 12 months before that.http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.live-tennis.com%2Fcategory%2FWimbledon%2FWimbledon-2013-seedings-announced-201306190008%2F&h=bAQEY_aOLAQEMFvVGXtj1iKS9TZfBDoQxydrvcZ6ZBQ525Q&enc=AZNwjt256YAG7FaqE8aJlBUysZudZnLeeMK5GCR6syimoz8FYRghRP6n-IOLDMG1LTd6ml0f3i6y05wHDqtvLnaA&s=1
